FRIA is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting, supporting, and expanding recreational ice activities in Huntsville, Alabama.

We work to enhance the community’s ice facilities, provide resources for skaters of all ages and abilities, and ensure that everyone has access to safe, high-quality ice sports opportunities. 

Support the Ice Community: FRIA partners with the City of Huntsville and the Ice Sports Center to maintain and improve local ice facilities.

Fund Facility Improvements: From new equipment to upgraded amenities, FRIA helps fund projects that make skating better for everyone.

Promote Public Participation: We encourage people of all ages to discover ice skating, hockey, and curling through outreach and education.

Foster Growth: FRIA provides financial and organizational support for future expansion — including plans for a dedicated curling and multi-use ice facility.
